10 Free London Attractions


London has visited almost every year since 1984. Like other major cities can be expensive. During my visits. I discovered many free attractions. Those mentioned here are among my favorites. Check the following free 10 London attractions visit enlightened and satisfying.

Among the sites that I have chosen are some of the many museums and galleries that are free. There are big companies where you have to choose what you want to see and smaller so that you can view content in an hour or two. Any one of them worth your time. While you visit, you can also turn to food. A large Museum and shows her care so that you can get food at reasonable prices.

1. British Museum
Located in the Bloomsbury section of the city, this museum is one of the most visited in the world. Opened in 1759, best known for their collections of Egyptian, Greek and Roman. Carpets and jewelry, textiles, musical instruments and glass in the world. There is something to please everyone's tastes. Spread over seven levels, organized in the main topics, you have to choose what you want to see.

4. Natural History Museum
In the same neighborhood v & a this is a great place to take the family. The group is divided into areas.
  • Red zone-Earth
  • Green Zone – planets, the environment, evolution
  • Blue zone-smaller invertebrates big blue whale
  • Orange area-wild animal park


5. Tate Britain
Opened in 1897 in Milbank, this collection covers five centuries of art. It is divided into two main groups: the work of European and American and British group. United Kingdom collection dates from 1500 to the present.

6. Tate Modern
On the South Bank of the Thames at Bankside, featuring this collection in the former power station renovation. It gives you a very different feel from traditional Museum. There are five international modern art exhibitions covering periods from 1900 to present. Included in the presentation work of Picasso, Dali, Warhol, Rothko, Liechtenstein. After your visit, you can walk South Bank Theater view Globes and the national theater. There are amazing Saint Paul across the river.

7. Marine Museum
For one day to take a short trip to Greenwich was visit this Museum and nearby sites. It houses the largest collection in the world of antiques, including a permanent display of Vice Admiral Horatio Nelson, a hero of the battle of Trafalgar. Viewed from the outskirts of Buckingham Palace that is one of my favorite visitors to London. You can get there by hiking St James Park from Trafalgar Square.
